European Heart Journal publishes CMatter article “Family Matters: Health Policies to Tackle Cardiomyopathies Across Europe”

On 16 November, the European Heart Journal published the article “Family Matters: Health Policies to Tackle Cardiomyopathies Across Europe,” authored by Iacopo Olivotto on behalf of the Cardiomyopathies Matter Initiative.

The article emphasizes the urgent need for stronger health policies to address cardiomyopathies, focusing on the importance of standardized care, genetic testing, and multidisciplinary approaches to improve diagnosis and treatment across Europe. Also, it provides an insightful overview of national policies on patient care and family screening for inherited cardiomyopathies, highlighting successful initiatives while identifying areas requiring further policy development.

This publication reinforces the mission of the Cardiomyopathies Matter Initiative to advance cardiac health and advocate for comprehensive, family-cantered care for those affected by cardiomyopathy.
